Ajita Wilson was born in 1950 in Brooklyn, New York and had GRS in the mid-1970s. Unfortunately very little information is available about the early part of her life. As with many transgendered women of that time she could only find work on the fringes of society. She began as a entertainer on stage and after her operation she appeared in adult films in New York.
In early 1976 she was discovered by a European film producer who cast her in various French and Italian adult film roles. Ajita made her European film debut in that year, in the movie titled "La Principessa nuda". In 1978 she made a crossover into mainstream European films and in 1980, director Antonio D'Agostino cast Eva Robins and Ajita in the Italian/Spanish film "Evaman, la máquina del amor".
Ajita appeared in an amazing number of films in the course of her career, often several in a one year period. Below you will find only a partial listing, I haven't included the films made before 1980.
Ajita died of a brain hemorrhage on May 26, 1987 as the result an automobile accident. In retrospect, Spanish pioneer in horror films, director Carlos Aured was asked to comment on speculation regarding Ajita's gender. Aured simply replied:
"She was charming, beautiful and very professional.
The rest is not important."
