Gokgorn Benjathikul was born in Thailand. She is well know in her native Thailand as a model appearing in ads for products such as Lervia Soap, Nevia, Vaseline Lotion, Citra White Lotion, Careen White and Lux Soap. Gokgorn is also an actress, starring in films about an extraordinary transsexual volleyball team, Iron Ladies (2001) and Iron Ladies 2 (2003).
Iron Ladies (Satree Lek), tells the true story of a team from the northern Thai town of Lampang that sprang from obscurity to win the 1996 men's national volleyball championship. Their feat should have won call-ups to the national team, but sporting conservatives were appalled and the team's stars were repeatedly overlooked by selectors worried about Thailand's image abroad.

At first, she was worried about doing the part as most of the gay roles in movies are derogatory. She said :
"The diverse personalities in the team should help clear unhealthy stereotypes some people have of gay people and katoeys (transsexuals). It will help people, who may have seen only one side of gay people, understand them better."

Iron Ladies was a smash hit in her native Thailand, and it became the second highest-grossing Thai film ever. In Hong Kong during its first week of release it became number one. The film has played Toronto and South Korea, among other locales.
